About the Department
The department was established in the year 1946 with a sanctioned strength of 1 Professors, 2 Associate Professors, 3 Lecturers and 1 Tutor to provide mathematical base for the Engineering Studies. The department is offering THREE Engineering Mathematics paper at UG level and ONE Advanced Engineering Mathematics paper at PG level. The department is guiding students for M.Phil. and Ph. Ds in the areas of Fluid Dynamics, Lattice Algebra, Artificial Neural Networks. The department has awarded three M.Phil. degrees so far and one more has been submitted. At present two Ph.D. and one M.Phil. scholars are working in the areas of Queuing Theory, Multiple Objective Decision Making and Goal Programming. The faculty of the Department have several Research Publications in National and International Journals and authored several books on Engineering Mathematics
